Richmond resident LTC Trever Nehls is awarded a Meritorious Service Medal by Brigadier General Jeffrey C. Coggin, Commander of the 350th Civil Affairs Command (CACOM), Pensacola, Fla. Nehls successfully commanded the 490th Civil Affairs Battalion, Grand Prairie, from Aug. 19, 2014 to June 11 and has been selected for the rank of Colonel. Nehls’ new assignment is G-3 Operations Officer for the 350th CACOM. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army War College and has numerous deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. In his civilian capacity, he serves as the Constable, Precinct 4, Fort Bend County
